I’m a Michigander through and through and I love being outside running on trails, hiking, gardening, cross-country skiing, kayaking, camping, and snowshoeing.  I started running for health and fitness at age 13 the summer of 1984 and finished my first trail race sometime in the early 2000’s and have been trail running as much as possible since then.  I’ve run 5K’s, 10K’s, 15K’s, half marathons, and one 25K so far. In January 2017 I hired a personal trainer to teach me strength training and I fell in love with it.  I bodyweight train 4 days a week to keep my core strong and do more intense strength work 2-3 days a week at my local gym.  My running miles range from 15-20 miles a week in winter to 20-30 miles a week in the summer.  I’m never fast on my feet, but I’m dedicated and hard to kill.  My solo claim to fame is I can grow my own vegetables, fruits, and herbs exceedingly well.
