Cash is king….until you have a problem for which you cannot purchase a solution.
At one point in time, I was given all of the money that a person can ask for. I did not have a problem that I could not buy my way out of… so I found one.
I see things differently now.
All that I thought I wanted was money, until I discovered that I could not purchase freedom, sobriety, motivation, energy or health. I don’t need cash to attain these things and I would not sell them if they could be bought.
Cash is worth very little when faced with an incurable illness or self-imposed despair. The currency of the downhearted isn’t cash, it’s community.
There is nothing more valuable than community.
