Crossfitters for Kids | Lift Heavy Run Long

Today was sort of a competition day. There was an event at the local Crossfit benefiting St. Jude. My son and I both competed. There were two workouts for adults and one workout for the kids. Here’s my son in his first Crossfit competition:

Here are the adult workouts and my results:

WOD 1

3 Rounds:

  • 5 x 55lb Dumbell Snatch Per Arm
  • 5 x 55lb. Dumbell Swings Per Arm
  • 10 Burpees

Finished this workout in 3:43.  Not bad.  Burpees sucked as usual.

WOD 2

5 Rounds:

  • 50 Squats
  • 400M Run

Finished in 15:05.  I felt good about this time, but it wasn’t good enough to win unfortunately.  Not sure what the winning time was.  All in all we had a great time, and helped raise some money for a great cause.
