Day 13: 241.8lbs
Exercise: Swept parking lots in the Mississippi heat.
Nutrition: Not healthy but I did not eat much.
Attitude: Tired
I won, I guess. Yesterday, the scale moved a couple of pounds but I don’t think it was necessarily a good thing. I walked almost all day and did not make good nutritional choices.
I walked miles and miles of warehouse parking lot space with a backpack blower attached to me. I am sure I probably logged 10 miles or so. After that, I had to rush home and get on the computer for work until 10pm. Work was busy and exciting. I got so worked up in adrenaline that I never felt much like eating. I know that is good for short-term weight loss but I know what it looks like in the long run.
I woke up this morning with an empty stomach and a dull headache. I am all too familiar with this. I knew that the scale would move but I also know that if I didn’t weigh quickly, the weight would show as soon as I ate breakfast. The microwave corn dog that I inhaled 45 seconds after getting off the scale could attest to that…had it not already been in my digestive tract. Damn, I love me some micro-fry-pups.
Anyways, for today, I am moving in the right direction but although I am dropping some weight, I feel like most of it is based more on determination and stubbornness than discipline. If I want anything to stick, I will need to get control of my nutrition and not do so much just sitting on my hands and praying that I make it through the night without breaking in and looting The Cheesecake Factory.
My exercise today is in the form of a sledgehammer and outside work. It is getting hotter by the second so I need to get on it.
It’s going to be a great day. I hope you will enjoy it all the same.
