Day 5: 249.7lbs
Fitness: CrossFit
Nutrition: Better than I wanted it to be.
Attitude: Optimistic

Feeling pretty good about things. Did CrossFit yesterday and hoping to get a 4-mile run in this afternoon.

I started the morning with some fresh vegetable juice which I always enjoy. I tried a soup “Pumpkin Pear Soup” which was delivered to me from a meal prep service. It was some of the worst stuff I had ever put in my mouth. It tasted like depression and smelled like sadness. It was so healthy that I think it gave me a kidney infection. I am not exactly sure where my kidneys are or what they do but I have a pain in my back that is located exactly where I would place a kidney if I knew what it did. I made sure to put enough salt and pepper in my soup to take away any lasting health benefits that might actually come from eating such healthy garbage. I mean, I’m not trying to win any nutritional awards and I certainly don’t want to live forever- this stuff was really bad.

Before I went to bed, I grabbed a cinnamon-flavored rice cake from the pantry. I tried to pretend it was a double-stuffed oatmeal cream pie. It didn’t work and I wanted to apologize to Little Debbie for being so naive to think that it just might be a remotely adequate substitute. Sorry Deb, I know better. Rice cakes are stupid.

Amanda and Grayson cooked gluten-free spaghetti last night and it was really, really good. I ate a nice sized portion but I didn’t overdue it, much. All-in-all it was a successful day. I will try to get in a run this afternoon and stay the course. The idea here is to not completely implode. I do not feel a sense of urgency, I do not have to be in a bikini any time soon. I need to just try and stay active and avoid the huge fallout that comes with the 5,000 calorie horizontal, bowl-on-belly, couch benders.

Let’s make it a good day. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Peace, love and all things Beef related,
