It’s been a great week!  Kicked it off with a big Squat PR @ 320# so that’s always good.  This morning wasn’t so awesome, but I put in the work:

Front Squat 1 RM

PR is 260# and I just barely got 255# this morning.  Not letting that bother me though, I’m feeling great otherwise and you can’t PR everyday I don’t suppose!

Then…

AMRAP 6 Minutes

  • 5 Power Clean and Jerks @ 60% of 1RM (Today that was 115#)
  • 10 GHD Situps

Rest 12 Minutes

AMRAP 6 Minutes

  • 5 Power Clean and Jerks @ 60% of 1RM (Today that was 115#)
  • 10 Toes to Bar

I got 5 rounds and 2 Power Cleans on the first AMRAP.  On the second one my arms were dog tired.  Helen yesterday didn’t help.  Since I was a day behind I didn’t get to rest yesterday.  Anyway, I got 4 rounds and 2 Power Cleans on the second AMRAP.

I’m not sure what this weekend will bring.  Maybe an easy 5K or something.  We’ll see, I feel like I need one more really good workout before race week begins.  Anyway…

New Barbell Shrugged came out this week, and it is VERY interesting.  I listened to it straight through.  I’ve been listening to these guys talk about this stuff for 3 years now, and I still can’t get enough of it.  Check it out:
