Sometimes you just have a bad day in the gym,  and sometimes you can turn that bad day around.  This is what I was supposed to do this morning:

I played around with the handstand walks for a while and jumped into the lifting.  Awful.  I really need to spend some time on and get some coaching on the Oly lifts.  I am just not good at them at all.  I’m so weak.  I just can’t seem to break the 60Kg weight on the snatch and I can’t get over 90Kg on the C&J.  Ridiculous.

After missing a bunch of lifts I was super angry at myself and frustrated.  I sat down to row, and just said F@#$ it!  I decided to do “Annie” with the rest of the folks in the gym.  I was angry, and I destroyed Annie!  All Unbroken reps.  6:17 for an 11 Second PR.  In case you don’t know, Annie is:

“Annie”

50-40-30-20-10 (Reps)

  • Double Unders
  • Sit Ups

So, every day can’t be good in the gym.  However, it is possible to turn things around.  If what you’re supposed to do isn’t working that day…do something else I guess.  🙂  Happy Friday!
