I had a great time doing the Barbell Shrugged podcast yesterday.  It was a lot of fun, and I even got to do a Technique WOD episode on some pose running drills.  I can’t wait to see how it turns out since this was my first time to be on camera doing this stuff.  I will certainly let everyone know when they are published.

Today was sort of a light day at the gym.  This is week 4 of this cycle, so I think that means this is a deloading week…

A1: Overhead Press 4 Rep Max

Worked up to 135lbs and felt pretty good.

Then…

B1: Every minute on the minute Jerk 1 rep, going up 10# at a time. Start at 60% of your PR.

I should have started at like 115lbs, but I started at 95lbs instead (shoot me).  Worked all the way up to 185lbs.

Then…

6 Rounds

  • 5 GHD Situps
  • 4 Pistols (Per Leg)
  • 4 Handstand Push Ups

Felt pretty good during this WOD and finished in 8:40.  Situps and HSPU’s were good, but I’m still doing pistols down to a 10″ box and I don’t like that.  Hopefully that will change soon.

I’m less than a month out from my next 50K, and I can’t wait!!  It’s on an easier course here in Memphis, and I fully expect a big PR!
