Junk mail. Junk mail. Bills. Junk mail. Junk mail. Bills. Bills. Junk Mail.
It so mostly all junk mail. I wonder why they keep sending it. Over and over again these companies keep sending me information on things I don’t need or want. I think a lot of it has to do with that fact that I don’t know what I need or want.
You don’t need a security system until your house gets broken into.
You don’t need a different internet provider until yours goes out for months at a time.
You don’t need rehab until you can’t quit drinking.
You don’t need AAA until your car breaks down.
You don’t need a line of credit until you need some money.
I feel like junk a lot of times- unnecessary, unhelpful, garbage, easily disposable, and not useful. Sometimes, I have a habit of using past experiences to project future scenarios which cause me to feel poorly about my present. The truth is, I can be valued as junk mail in the inbox of the world but provided I keep showing up and staying consistent, the circumstances will change and my purpose will be validated.
It’s impossible to know when I will be considered valuable or needed in the eyes of someone else but it is easy to be persistent, driven and focused.
So the next time you wonder why these same old companies continue to send you these same old offers, just remember, you don’t get to be an old company without knowing a little something about worth. They know they have value and it is all a matter of timing matching the circumstances. It’s impossible to know the true value of a winch until your Ox gets stuck in the ditch.
Good things are ahead.
