“My Pleasure.”

Isn’t that refreshing?

I went to Chick-fil-A yesterday. I don’t how they train their employees….but it ain’t like everyone else trains their employees.

The lady behind the register was in the middle of a situation and she politely took the time to address me specifically to let me know that she would just be a moment and she would be right with me (her attention seemed so focused). After finishing her business she focused her attention back on me and took the time to say, “How is your day going so far?”

I honestly didn’t know how to react. When most people are on the other side of the register, I half-way expect to be bitch-slapped or judo-chopped just for existing. This was not the case at Chick-fil-A.

When I finished my order, she gave me a price, I said, “Thank you”.

She responded with “My pleasure,”

It was nice.

I don’t care why she said it. I don’t care who taught or to say it or how much she gets paid to say it. The fact of the matter is that it is nice to be treated with courtesy under any circumstance.
