Mood/Reflections/Ramblings: It’s my birthday! 44 years old. Boy what a year it’s been. Do you ever wish you could go back in time and talk to yourself in the past? What would you say to them. I’d have a lot to say to one year ago Von today. Happy to march onward and experience year 44.
Training: As we did the other day on Brian’s birthday, we ran again today. Same route, same amount of time, 44 minutes. Although today we actually made it to the four mile mark. We were a little short last time. I’m feeling so great when running. I’m a lot slower than I was a few weeks ago, but I’m feeling fantastic!!

Great job guys! Von keep it up! You’re looking and sounding so happy. Btw, when listening to your podcasts last year after running the 100 in late 2017, you sounded and felt exactly like I did. Heck even our times were almost exactly the same. I ran mine in 2008 and 2009 was just sort of a sucky year. I think it’s all of the build up and then the ‘what do I do with myself” that happens afterward. That said, don’t do what I did. I took a new job in 2010 and then stopped running basically for 2012. And then I got old/ turned 50 and YES, 50 IS different. I’m now 56 and things are just a lot slower, but i’m Enjoying it a lot more. But you still have 6 years to run PRS. I ran all of mine from age 42 to 45! You’ve got this! Go get’m!!!
Hey, Jill. There is definitely something to that “what do I do with myself” theory. I’m ready for some PR’s thanks!!
