Mood/Reflections/Rambling: I am very happy today. I'm in a great mood. I'm really enjoying this new lens that I'm looking at everything through. I'm taking a lot of things in and noticing that there needs to be action taken and planning lots of different attacks. It's great. As I focus more and more on my own responsibilities and "life organization" I'm also noticing that I can pay better attention to other people and that really helps me connect in a much better way to other people. I'm missing a lot of anxiety that I once had about lots of different things. I'm not sure where it went, but it's noticeably gone. Just missing, like a giant weight has been lifted off of my back. I'm having trouble even understanding it, but I'm just embracing it. I'll just run with it. Training: IT IS BIRTHDAY WEEK. That means that my good friend Brian aka @ThirstyRunner will be running together as our annual tradition dictates. We run on his birthday and we run on my birthday. His birthday is June 11 (that's today) and mine is June 13, that's Thursday. We did his run today and we'll do mine on Thursday. See how that works?  Today we ran for 44 minutes. I wasn't sure I'd be able to make it 4.4 miles so we decided on 44 minutes. We made it just shy of 4 miles and walked the rest of it in. It was a great run. I felt fantastic. I feel like I could run 5 miles for sure. Maybe not super fast, but I could definitely do it. So since I'm logging all of this stuff, I'm noticing that there is a definite connection between when I run and when my mood is REALLY good. I'm not saying that running is better than everything else, but I am going to tell you that it makes me feel really really good. So there is going to be more of that in my life until I feel comfortable with a barbell again. I took a barbell out of the rack today when I was coaching and tried to press it over my head. It was a 35 lb. barbell I believe. I couldn't get it past my chin. I just had no strength to do it. That's a really odd feeling. I did get in my ROMWOD session this morning before classes and I really think I need to keep doing that and working on my hamstrings and getting more flexy. Swole will have to come later I suppose. Anyway, TL;DR I need to run more, it makes me feel good. Get out there and do something awesome and then email me and tell me about it. I want to know what you great people are up to. von@liftheavyrunlong.com. -The Rev"/>
