Day Two

I was up early this morning to coach the 5 and 6 AM classes at my gym, Olive Branch CrossFit. I got there a little before 4:30 AM so I could get everything turned on and still have time to sneak in a ROMWOD session. I had time to do the whole 20 minutes today. It was tough, my shoulders were feeling it for sure. Mobility is getting better and better. Here’s my PVC passthrough checkup:

Mood: The last thing I want you to think is that I’m being bitchy here. I don’t know what to say when you ask me how I’m feeling. I’m not great, I’m not terrible. I’m just kind of mediocre I guess. I can’t think of a good word to describe it. I’m frustrated, I’m weak, I’m frail, I’m slow, and basically I’m starting all over again. That said, I’m very grateful to have an opportunity to start over again. I now have an opportunity to  revisit movement and learn many things all over again properly. I think that’s pretty awesome. When you ask me how I’m doing I’m not going to lie and say everything is fantastic. It sort of sucks and it’s also sort of awesome. I am definitely not crying myself to sleep at night, so don’t worry about that. Everything is going to end up way better than it was before. I’m not sure any of that makes sense, but that’s the best way I can describe my mood.

After coaching the morning classes, I got in a short-ish workout. A simple 20 minute Assault bike ride (easy pace) stopping every 3 minutes to do 30 single unders with my jump rope. Here’s what that looked like:
