Got back into the gym yesterday to begin recovery week.  I felt pretty good and did some Thrusters and Double Unders.  Didn’t go too hard.  Today I felt great though, and I’d say I’m about 90% recovered.  Got back into the program today:

EMOM 12 Minutes:  1 Muscle Up

Since I am just now getting muscle ups, I use this time as practice.  I wasn’t able to get any this time, but was able to get some good practice in.  I’m not too worried about it.  Just trying to get moving and fully recover.

1 RM Close Grip Bench Press

I worked up to 185 lbs.  I gave 195 a shot, but missed it.  My buddy James was training with me today (which was nice) and he got the 195.  Then on to conditioning…

  • 30 Second AMRAP – Burpees
  • Rest 90 Seconds Between Rounds

Reps went like this:  15, 14, 14.  Not too bad for 30 seconds.  Then after a 10 minute rest…

Another pretty decent day in the gym.  I’m just excited that I can come in 3 days after a marathon and almost be training at full capacity.  That’s pretty awesome.
