“Progression” is our way of widening the gap between where we are and where we are going. There is irony in our attempt to move forward. So many times, the more effort I exert towards solving a problem, the greater the problem seems to be. I often say, I can turn a $100 situation into a $1,000 problem, just by trying to fix what isn’t already broke.

Since the inception of time, we have placed a great deal of effort focus on strengthening the human connection: we cleared trails, developed maps, built roads, constructed ships, erected bridges, invented internet, and established email.

All of our efforts to pave roads and smooth highways seem to have resulted in a society that place an ever-smaller priority on the power of human social interaction. The establishment of proper roads has given us more reason to stay at home. The ability to connect electronically, has resulted in a more artificial communication. The ability to grow nutritional food for healthy bodies has resulted in food that is manufactured, not grown, with no nutritional value. The ability to produce the things that we need at an affordable price has resulted in a overabundance of wants that doesn’t allow us to live within our means.

We work so hard to digress. We push so hard that we fall backwards. We put so much effort into connection so that we might lose touch. We pave so many roads so that we may stay at home. We provide a great deal of solutions so that we can create more problems.

And all this time, I thought it was just me.

Keep it simple.
