Mood/Reflections/Rambling: A little panicked and a little worried, but I’ve learned/am learning that sometimes that can be part of the process. There’s a great Bledsoe Show episode that I started listening to this morning with a guy named Paul Chek. He talks about when you lose your center and start to freak out, and how you can focus on breathing and bring yourself back to reality. As long as you have your breath, food to eat, people who love you, and a roof over your head everything else is just part of a process that is unfolding. Focus on your breathing and visualize how you want things to be and how they will be. This can help you remain calm during what you would normally view as a crisis. Anyway, I always enjoy listening to Mike talk and this episode just hit me in a very timely manner.

The panic/worry is coming from things that I have been focused or done in the past and the things that I need to focus on now. Sometimes, a lot of times, those things don’t really go together and I find myself worrying about things that I need to just let go. That can be really hard sometimes…It really does help to focus on my breath, find my center and realize that I need to trust the process.

Training: Today I trained a little bit harder!!! This brought on a little bit of worry as well. But so far so good. I’ve been drinking so much water today because I pushed a little harder than I have in a while and I have been really worried about hydration and that my urine would be anything but clear!! Now I am wondering if one can drink too much water?!?

Strength

10 Minute EMOM

  • Front Squat x 3
  • Back Squat x 3

I went super super light. Started with an empty barbell and worked up to 80 lbs. It felt really good just to be moving through the squat with a barbell.

Conditioning

3 Rounds

  • 75 Double Unders
  • 50 Air Squats
  • 25 Calorie Row

Rx and finished in 16:11. It felt SUPER good. Here’s a quick video. Really, quick…

So I had been posting some range of motion videos with a PVC pipe, but today I’m moving on to what the real issue is. My right shoulder. Here’s what my press looks like with an empty barbell. It just stops and won’t go any further. I’m just not strong enough and/or there’s some sort of issue going on. I can press a PVC pipe ok. This just seems really strange to me.

If you have any thoughts I’m open to hearing them. I guess it’s time for a PT visit maybe… šŸ™

Have an awesome evening!
