So…here’s where I’ve been training full time for about a month now. Desoto Crossfit. It’s a much smaller box than Faction Stength and Conditioning, but I’m liking it more and more each day. I really miss my training partners, but it’s a lot of fun to meet new people and reunite with old friends. This box is just 5 minutes from my house so there are a few people training here that I already knew from High School, the neighborhood, etc.
I started coaching my first class this week. It’s a 6am class Monday through Friday. Monday I had one athlete, Tuesday 2 athletes, and today I had 4 athletes! I’m pretty excited about that. So far I have all levels of CF experience from the 2+ year RX star to the brand spanking new first time crossfitter. It’s really fun and a great learning experience to try to accomodate those different levels. I’m really enjoying it.
Finding time to train myself is going to be a little difficult I think. I’ve been trying to hit the 5am class and then coach the 6 am class. It’s worked out ok, but I don’t want to cheat the athletes I’m coaching by being exhausted and unable to focus. Anyway, here’s what I did this morning:
- 6 x Deadlift
- 6 x Bent Over Rows
- 6 x Hang Power Cleans
- 6 x Front Squat
- 6 x Push Press
- 6 x Back Squat
Loads were: 40Kg, 50Kg, and 55Kg
Row 2000M for time. I pr’d by a few seconds with a 7:27 time. I think last time I did this I rowed 7:32. I had to stop after this because it was time to start the 6am class. 🙂
